Going Beyond the Standard: Solar Installations Octopus Can’t Fit
While Octopus Energy does fantastic work, their national, high-volume model means they often have to limit the types of properties they can work on. They frequently turn down complex or non-standard roofing setups because their high-volume teams aren’t geared up for specialized engineering.
That is where Legra steps in. Because we are independent specialists, we regularly take on and successfully deliver complex, premium installations that Octopus simply cannot fit:
Flat Roof Architecture: Whether utilizing aerodynamic, non-penetrating ballasted setups or specialized mechanical anchors that protect your underlying waterproof membrane, we are flat-roof specialists.
Slate Roofs: Natural slate requires a delicate, highly skilled hand to prevent cracking and structural leaks. We don’t avoid slate; we master it using premium flashing and specialized brackets.
Complex Profiles & Topographies: From multi-aspect roof shapes that require intricate module-level engineering to highly exposed, high-wind coastal locations, our team custom-designs arrays for properties other firms place in the “too difficult” box.
Total Peace of Mind: Fully Certified and Vetted Engineering
We don’t believe in desktop shortcuts or cutting corners on your property. Aside from a vehicle, a premium renewable energy installation is likely the single biggest financial investment you will make in your home this year. You deserve the absolute certainty that it is built to perform safely for the next 25 years or longer.
Legra operates to the absolute highest tier of UK industry compliance:
MCS Certified: Every system we install is fully compliant under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). This is an essential legal consideration that guarantees your eligibility for smart export tariffs, protects your property’s value, and secures your equipment warranties.
TrustMark Registered: As a TrustMark registered business, we are officially recognized for our commitment to government-endorsed standards of quality, trading practices, and customer care. This gives you an extra layer of financial and technical protection.
RECC & NAPIT Accredited: We are fully bound by consumer protection codes and vetted by top-tier electrical trade bodies.
Advanced Site-Specific Design: Every project undergoes rigorous structural math and topographical wind-load calculations using elite software before a single component touches your roof.
By choosing Legra, you get the absolute best of both worlds: the elite endorsement and customer care of an Octopus Approved Installer, combined with the bespoke, heavy-duty structural capabilities of a high-end local specialist.
